Berikut ialah serba sedikit maklumat mengenai bola tersebut.
Storm's Premier Line continues to be the most successful high performance line of equipment on the market. From the original El Nino and its split density technology to the Paradigm and X-Factor series with its multi-disc technology and now the performance proven Virtual series, we continue to push the limit of technology and innovation.
The Invasion features the next generation of advancement in core and coverstock technology. Our first goal was to develop a strong asymmetrical design different than any other. The concept was to create contours along the RG planes to ensure a stronger preferred spin axis. We did this by developing intersecting contoured bands from the X-axis along the Y and Z axes. These bands are developed at specific arcs to maximize RG and differential values along the planes. In turn, this translates into a quicker revving core with a more defined moment of inertia or breakpoint unlike any prior design found on the market.
The all new Origin core boasts a 2.48 RG value with .057 total differential and a .017 intermediate differential. Using C.A.T.S., we tested the Origin core up against the Shape Lock HD core with same coverstock to see the differences, and we were amazed by the results. The Origin core started into the "hook" phase about 3 feet sooner and created a stronger entry angle to the pocket. Usually when we get the ball started into the "hook" phase sooner we see less entry angle to the pocket, but this core with the contoured bands along the RG planes definitely showed us something different.
The finishing touch to the Invasion is the R3X coverstock. This third generation of Reactor series coverstock has the highest Ra values ever produced by Storm products. Based on the USBC Ball Motion Study we know that higher Ra values produce more ball motion in the oil, and this coverstock is no exception. We saw a 9% increase in friction values in the oil and an increase of 5% down the lane over its predecessor R2X utilizing C.A.T.S. testing.

I have been long needing a new bowling ball and finally decided to make the move to Storm. Compared to my old Twisted Fury and Absolute Inferno, the Invasion is a beast. I had mine drilled 4" pin to pap x 4" mass bias to pap x 2" pin buffer (nothing too crazy) and the pin resides roughly 1 inch above my ring finger. On a fresh lane (heavy oil) this thing is a dream to work with. I can line up just about anywhere and find the pocket by simply changing my hand position at the release. Compared to my two brunswick balls, I would have to slow them down and play right of the 20 board, playing any deeper and they would never come back. The invasion worked great from lining up far right and just rolling the ball out at 5 degrees off the hand and still finds the pocket. Line up far left with a change of hand position to 45-50 degrees and this thing will skid all the way out to the 5 board and still come back destroying the pocket. After the lanes break down a bit, this ball begins biting the lane early and reading dry spots. To get the ball to play on the same line requires increasing ball speed or reducing rpm or even both. A drying lane doesn't mean you would have to switch balls though because like I mentioned earlier, this ball is very versatile with simply changing hand position to give it a different reaction/roll and pick a different line to finish up. This is my first Storm ball and my impression is just wow! I should have done it sooner. The scent of berries and cream isn't too bad either :)
PB: Adik kakak abang-abang sekalian.... bola nie ada bau wangi ler.... oooo meletop! mmm x sabar nak hidu bau bola nie nanti! bola kiter bau minyak megalanes jer.. cam minyak enjin jer ngeh ngeh ngeh!

What I Was Looking For In This Layout: After testing the Virtual Gravity, I had very high expectations on the Invasion. I laid this ball out almost identically to my Virtual Gravity to get a direct comparison of reactions. I expected to be able to get into the deepest parts of the lane and have the ball recover from anywhere on the lane.
What I Ended Up With In This Ball Layout: Simply amazing... Storm has done it again. Without question, this ball provided the best reaction and carry at the pocket than any other ball I've ever tested. Compared to the Virtual Gravity, this ball hooked just as much, but gave me a little more predictability and control overall. This combination of reaction, control, and power at the pins equaled incredible scores for me the first night I tested in league.
Out of the box, I tested this ball in my league to see how far into the night I could take it. I started out the night standing on the 35th board (Yes, that was to start the night on a fresh house shot). Without effort, I was able to keep the ball on line and get it back from the 10th board at the breakpoint. As for carry percentage, I left a pocket 7 pin in the first frame. Other than that, it carried the next 11 shots. I could live with 290 out of the box for the first game.
The 2nd game, I expected to see some transition and lose a little carry at the pocket. Not the case at all. I began the 2nd game throwing the front 9 strikes. The shots ranged within a few boards of each other, but whether I missed in or leaked a it right, the Storm Invasion made it to the pocket and shredded the rack. As for the 10th frame, it was a repeat of the first frame in the first game, leaving another pocket 7 pin. 279 the 2nd game, it was looking good, but I didn't think it could last much longer.
As the 3rd game began, I decided to move left on the approach 2 boards to provide a little extra push down the lane before getting into a roll. I was surprised with how well the Invasion was storing energy down the lane as the night progressed. Once again, I found myself shaking my head at the absolute power this ball unleashed at the pins as I began the 3rd game with the front 7 strikes. After a split in the 8th frame, I finished the game striking out for 262.
831 out of the box the first night used with 32 strikes. I'm sold. Frankly, if you've thrown the Virtual Gravity, you're going to want to add the Invasion to your arsenal. If you haven't had a chance to throw a Virtual, I recommend you give the Invasion a shot. Probably the best pin carry out of the box that I've ever seen.
PB: Menarik mengenai Storm Invasion nie... 98% berpuas hati dengan performance yang ditunjukkan oleh bola ini! Now...what is in your mind? grab one... hurry up!
